WHAT:
This new web seminar provides a roadmap for implementing material declarations in order to comply with impending environmental directives such as RoHS and WEEE. Learn how to control and automate the collection, tracking and reporting of compliance information at the supplier, item, and product level – across your global suppliers.
WHEN:
On-Demand
WHY: Implementation is the focus in 2006! With a July 1, 2006 deadline looming, electronics companies and their supply chains are scrambling to comply with the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive. Original equipment manufacturers are focusing much effort on collecting the documentation required to support their claim of product compliance. This push for material declarations and supporting documents is being felt across the entire supply chain.

For manufacturers non-compliance to RoHS could result in substantial fines, criminal prosecution, and a loss of rights to sell within the European Union. Suppliers of non-compliant materials or components will also face liability claims, disqualification, and possible fines.

SPEAKERS:

Richard Kubin, Vice President, E2open - PLM Solutions; chair of the iNEMI MCD Exchange Project and chair of the IPC Declaration Process Management Subcommittee

Rajesh Manglani, Manager, Product Marketing, RosettaNet

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: All manufacturers of products to be sold in the EU and importers of electrical or electronic products into the EU are affected by these directives. Suppliers of materials, components, and sub-assemblies used in these products are also impacted. Executives, managers and practitioners involved in Environmental Compliance, Product Quality, Supply Chain Management, and the Information Technology systems that support these processes should attend.
