CHS Electronics Announces Its Commitment To The Adoption Of RosettaNet Standards

Miami, FL -- CHS Electronics, Inc. (NYSE:HS), one of the largest IT wholesale distributors in the world, today reaffirmed its affiliation with RosettaNet, an Information Technology (IT) industry consortium created to develop a common computer language enabling standardized e-commerce business processes and terminology within the industry. RosettaNet is comprised of 34 leading companies in the IT supply chain, including computer manufacturers, distributors, resellers and end-users.

Commenting on the industry initiative, Claudio Osorio, CHS' Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, stated, "We look forward to the launching of industry-wide e-commerce content and transaction standards. We expect the RosettaNet standards to enable the IT supply chain channel members to operate more efficiently and cost effectively. CHS is proud of our participation in this key industry initiative and we expect to meet the February 2, 2000, industry readiness date."
