RosettaNet Press Release
Kinecta Corporation Becomes RosettaNet Solution Partner to Help Champion Industry-Wide B2B Information Standards

For Release May 10, 2000

SAN FRANCISCO

Adexa, Kinecta™ Corporation, a global leader in Distributed Information Management, today announced it has joined RosettaNet as a Solution Partner, demonstrating its commitment to the adoption and deployment of industry-wide enterprise information standards.

As a Solution Partner, Kinecta will use the RosettaNet Partner Interface Processes®  (PIPs® ) to support Kinecta Interact™. The underlying XML language of the RosettaNet interfaces allows online exchange participants to connect to their partners and their customers.

"The ability to rapidly deploy and adopt standards is critical to our success," said Jennifer Hamilton, CEO of RosettaNet. "Companies like Kinecta Corporation play a critical role in helping to deploy RosettaNet standards into end-to-end business solutions quickly and effectively."

Based on the Information and Content Exchange (ICE) protocol and XML, Kinecta Interact enables companies to manage syndication relationships and the exchange of content between a syndicator and its subscribers. Kinecta Interact consists of a syndicator and a subscriber component, and enables companies of all sizes and industries to leverage the enormous collection of relevant content on the Internet, and to facilitate the automatic establishment of business-to-business value chains.

"We are committed to supporting industry standards such as RosettaNet, that enable businesses to easily communicate and share information," states Adam Souzis, co-founder and chief strategist for Kinecta. "Kinecta Interact enables content providers and their numerous subscribers to share vital information, so it's crucial that we utilize a standardized electronic business language to facilitate that communication."

RosettaNet is a consortium of more than 200 businesses, which develops standardized, universal business processes enabling members of the information technology (IT) and electronic components (EC) supply chains - including manufacturers, distributors, resellers and customers - to share and distribute information between systems.
