Partner Press Release
On Semiconductor™ Joins RosettaNet Consortium
For Release
June 19, 2000
PHOENIX
ON Semiconductor (Nasdaq: ONNN) today announced that it has become a member of the RosettaNet
consortium. ON Semiconductor and RosettaNet share the vision of improving the efforts to develop,
promote and lead the adoption of both open content and open transaction standards for electronic
commerce across the supply chain. "RosettaNet has established itself as an influential group that
is well positioned to drive open standards globally by allowing all the players in the supply chain
to maximize use of the internet to conduct day to day business more efficiently" said Colum
O'Neill, Director of Internet Business at ON Semiconductor.
Jennifer Hamilton, Chief Executive Officer of RosettaNet added, "RosettaNet standards are being
developed and adopted by leading semiconductor companies across the globe. By facilitating a
collaborative development and implementation environment with Supply Chain Partners such as ON
Semiconductor, the RosettaNet consortium is creating global e-business process standards that
enable efficient and dynamic trading partner relationships within the electronic components and IT
industries. We are pleased to welcome the contributions of ON Semiconductor, one of the world's
leading suppliers of analog, broadband and discrete semiconductor ICs."
About ON Semiconductor
ON Semiconductor, formerly a division of Motorola, is one of the world's largest suppliers of
analog, standard logic, and discrete semiconductors for data and power management. ON
Semiconductor's products include integrated circuits for high-bandwidth data applications, analog
ICs for power management and low-voltage power transistors. In addition to using micropackaging
technology across all product families, ON Semiconductor offers the largest selection of discrete
semiconductors in a variety of surface mount and standard packages. These semiconductors turn on
and connect digital electronic products to our world. ON Semiconductor™ is the trade name of SCG
Holding Corporation's affiliate, Semiconductor Components Industries, LLC. Further information is
available at the Company's website:

About RosettaNet
RosettaNet is an independent, self-funded, non-profit consortium dedicated to the
development and deployment of standard electronic business interfaces to align the processes
between supply chain partners on a global basis. Launched in June 1998, RosettaNet is currently in
the pilot phase of its implementation cycle. More than 250 companies representing over $1 trillion
in annual information technology and electronic components revenues currently participate in
RosettaNet's standards development, strategy and implementation activities.
