Partner Press Release Comprehensive VE/Plug for RosettaNet™ announced during EConcert For Release June 27, 2000
PLANO Software Instruments, Inc., a leading innovator in businessware technology, announced their plans to fully support the RosettaNet B2B standard in their flagship product, The Virtual Enterprise (VE/Plug for RosettaNet™). VE users will be able to conduct electronic B2B transactions with any partner that complies with the standard. "The combination of VE with RosettaNet delivers a key competitive advantage for our customers," said Iyad Jabri, President and CEO of SI. "Compliance with this standard provides collaboration opportunities with a wider base of partners, hence increased profit margins and improved customer satisfaction. With VE, businesses can achieve compliance very rapidly and without the heavy investment in development resources." VE offers unprecedented efficiency in rapidly developing and integrating large-scale, Internet-ready business systems. The results are shorter time-to-market and reduced development cost and risk; key requirements for the rapidly evolving B2B market. "Having common processes will enable companies to leverage the global and pervasive reach of the Internet to accelerate time-to-market and improve partner relationship management," said Jennifer Hamilton, CEO of RosettaNet. "Software Instruments will further this effort to align e-business processes by speeding the adoption of RosettaNet standards by Supply Chain Partners in the IT and EC industries." VE/Plug for RosettaNet will be available 3Q2000, and will include complete support for the RosettaNet Implementation Framework; published Partner Interface Processes™ (PIPs™); and its taxonomy and technical/business dictionaries. In addition, it will provide several enhancements to simplify and streamline the integration of RosettaNet public processes and internal business processes.
