Unique XML-based business-process software powers B2B value chain automation

For Release September 19, 2000

BURLINGAME

Attunity Ltd. (International Software Group, Ltd, d/b/a Attunity, Ltd.), NASDAQ: SISG, a leading provider of B2B software solutions, announced today that Future Electronics, a global distributor of electronic components, has selected Attunity B2B™ and Attunity Connect™ as the infrastructure solutions for deploying Future Electronics' B2B supply chain automation over the Internet.

Attunity B2B provides a business-rules engine that will enable Future Electronics to create, share, automate and manage business processes with its partners, customers and suppliers over the Internet. Attunity Connect creates the infrastructure for automated B2B transactions by integrating mainframe, legacy and other enterprise systems with eBusiness and B2B applications -- extending the value of current IT investments.

"Attunity's B2B solutions will enable Future Electronics to automate business transactions with our suppliers and our worldwide service centers," said Sebastien Frappier, system architect at Future Electronics. "We can also collect, integrate and automatically distribute information, such as customer orders, shipments, product inventory and billing summaries, from disparate internal systems to our customers and vendors."

Attunity B2B solutions will serve as the platform for extending the B2B transactional chain out to Future Electronics' customers and suppliers through shared business processes. "In addition, the portability of Attunity B2B enables us to re-use and re-deploy business processes, once developed, on any platform," said Frappier. "This will enable us to be more competitive and provide our customers with better service."

Future Electronics also will utilize Attunity B2B to implement RosettaNet standard electronic business processes. RosettaNet defines XML-based business process standards for the electronic components and information technology sectors.

"In order to harness the full potential of Internet-based B2B automation, companies need to bring their existing systems in line with new eBusiness applications and extend those applications to accommodate their business partners and customers," said Arie Gonen, chairman and CEO of Attunity. "Attunity's B2B solutions enable companies to deploy B2B faster by leveraging their existing systems and simplifying the creation of inter-company, shared business processes needed to automate and manage B2B - both internally and externally."
