BeXcom Joins RosettaNet as Solution Partner to Help Implement and Adopt Global eCommerce Practices

For Release September 19, 2000

SAN DIEGO

BeXcom (www.bexcom.com), a leading developer of business-to-business (B2B) Internet trading solutions for global eCommerce, today announced it has joined RosettaNet, an independent, non-profit consortium dedicated to the development of standard electronic business interfaces for the electronic components (EC) and information technology (IT) industries.

As a RosettaNet Solution Partner, BeXcom will provide consulting tools and services to aid companies in adopting RosettaNet interfaces. As a result, BeXcom has an opportunity to assist in the implementation and adoption of RosettaNet projects.

Through the partnership, BeXcom and RosettaNet will work together to advance the deployment of global B2B eBusiness standards providing common formats, processes, content and system interfaces. BeXcom will focus on helping supply chain companies implement a standardized dictionary of terms for eBusiness as well as standardized Partner Interface Processes™ (PIPs™) for global trading.

"We are pleased to have BeXcom join us as a Solution Partner," said Jennifer Hamilton, CEO, RosettaNet. "The establishment of common eBusiness interfaces will allow businesses to engage in dynamic trading partner relationships that result in business efficiencies, using common, standardized processes. The implementation and adoption of these standards requires a true industry-wide partnership, and BeXcom brings important skills and experience to these efforts.

As a RosettaNet Solution Partner, BeXcom is at the forefront of eCommerce providers helping define a standard method for conducting business over the Internet. BeXcom offers a global transaction infrastructure, with hubs in major trading zones, including Japan, Southeast Asia, Greater China, the U.S. and Europe. These worldwide eCommerce SuperHubs deliver integration, localization, configuration and customization services, as well as customer support - core competencies that will enable RosettaNet to increase its existing presence across the globe through the implementation of PIPs as a core product offering within the SuperHubs.

"BeXcom supports RosettaNet's efforts to develop standards that will allow eCommerce to flourish on a global scale," said Voon Fee Yong, chairman and CEO, BeXcom. "RosettaNet is leading the way for a unified front, and we are eager to contribute our expertise."
