Partner Press Release Experienced Team Coupled with Proprietary Methodology Will Facilitate Rapid Deployment of RosettaNet Standards For Release October 10, 2000
SAN FRANCISCO Eleris, Inc., an e-commerce integrator, today announced that it has established a professional services practice dedicated to helping companies prepare for and implement the emerging RosettaNet standards. The RosettaNet Business Practice (RBP) will utilize a proprietary RosettaNet Readiness & Implementation methodology to enable companies to quickly implement and integrate the standards and related business processes. Developed by Eleris, the methodology incorporates sound project management tools and techniques into a process designed specifically for implementing the RosettaNet standards. The RBP team has been working with RosettaNet on the development of the standards since the organization's inception in 1998. This means that clients who work with Eleris can be assured they are working with an experienced business and technology team, using specialized processes to develop and execute RosettaNet and supply chain strategies. Eleris has appointed Sheila Wood director of the RosettaNet Business Practice. Her responsibilities will include defining business and technology strategy related to the practice, managing client relationships, and representing Eleris in the RosettaNet organization. "Eleris is committed to supporting and advancing the adoption of the RosettaNet standards throughout the high tech supply chain. We believe that our people and methodology will enable our clients to deploy the standards faster, more efficiently and more cost effectively," said Marc Breckwoldt, vice-president and general manager of Eleris. The RosettaNet standards provide the high tech supply chain with the common business interfaces required to exchange information electronically with trading partners. The standards includes business processes known as Partner Interface Processes (PIPs), standardized business and technical terminology dictionaries, and the RosettaNet implementation framework. By adopting this common language for the electronic sharing of business information, companies are well positioned to improve customer relationships, generate new revenue opportunities, and maximize operational efficiency. Eleris has established partnerships with industry leaders to facilitate delivery of a total RosettaNet solution. Eleris is a VIP solutions partner of Viacore, a supply chain Process Service Provider that enables electronic process integration between disparate trading partners by integrating otherwise fragmented back office elements and managing the real-time exchange of standards-based processes. "Viacore is pleased to be working with Eleris on developing process integration solutions which support the deployment of RosettaNet PIPs," said Fadi Chehadé, Chairman and CEO of Viacore. "Clients can quickly and efficiently enhance their supply chains by utilizing Viacore and Eleris' complementary services." As a webMethods strategic partner, Eleris has been certified in the implementation of the webMethods for RosettaNet solution. This powerful, cross platform software enables companies to leverage RosettaNet standards and realize the potential of B2B integration with their trading partners.
