Partner Press Release
KEMET Initiates Internet Transactions With Arrow Electronics, Inc., And TTI, Inc., Based on RosettaNet Standards
For Release
October 10, 2000
GREENVILLE
KEMET Corporation (NYSE:KEM) today announced
the implementation of business transactions across the Internet with both Arrow Electronics, Inc. (NYSE:ARW), and TTI, Inc.
Using RosettaNet standards, KEMET and its two largest supply chain partners are using the Internet
to exchange information on a real-time basis, which will reduce the cycle time for the exchange of
information and more closely align the business processes between the companies.
This positions KEMET for future use of Internet transactions with all of its supply chain
partners using the RosettaNet standards. The use of these new, open, non-proprietary standards,
which is being leveraged with Extricity software, will result in more efficiency and reduced
process times and enhance KEMET's ability to meet our supply chain partners' needs. This new
effort, along with recent Web initiatives, complements KEMET's business-to-business e-commerce
strategy.
