Sterling Commerce's GENTRAN RosettaNet Server Was Selected By Kyocera To Enable RosettaNet Based Business Process Integration Test

TOKYO
Sterling Commerce, a global provider of e-business solutions, announces that they have
successfully implemented GENTRAN RosettaNet Server at Kyocera Corporations headquarters in Kyoto,
Japan. The implementation of RosettaNet Server is one of the components of Kyocera's overall
e-business strategy and one step further in strengthening their position as a global e-business
company.
For the initial phase Kyocera tested and implemented RosettaNet's Manage Purchase Order and
Purchase Order Acceptance Notification with one of their partners. In phases to follow Kyocera will
add more partners and will also incorporate collaborative forecasting, inventory reporting,
inventory allocation, and inventory replenishment with GENTRAN RosettaNet Server.
The initial phase which called for the implementation of Partners Interface Processes 3A4 and
3A7 included a gap analysis between RosettaNet and CII. The overall implementation was concluded in
less than five days and transactions were able to take place on the third day, meeting. Kyocera's
requirement of implementing RosettaNet by E-Concert Day October 10, 2000.
GENTRAN RosettaNet Server is based on Sterling Commerce's flagship e-business integration
technology and complies with specification outlined by the RosettaNet Consortium. Kyocera is a
partner member of RosettaNet Japan and Sterling Commerce is a solution partner of RosettaNet USA
and RosettaNet Japan.
