Vignette Announces Support For RosettaNet Standard; Support of Standard Reinforces Vignette's Leadership In B2B E-Commerce

Vignette Corp. (NASDAQ:VIGN), the leading supplier of e-Business applications, today announced that the Vignette® eSeries Applications now support RosettaNet, an industry standard that facilitates business-to-business (B2B) e-commerce between supply chain partners in the information technology (IT) and electronic components industries.

As a Solution Partner in the RosettaNet consortium, Vignette currently supports the standard in Vignette eBizXchange™ and Vignette eIntegrate™, two applications in the eSeries suite that enable companies to exchange business transactions with trading partners and integrate e-business systems with business applications.

This adoption of RosettaNet will enable Vignette customers to quickly collaborate with trading partners over the Internet using global e-business process standards supported by most of the leading manufacturers, resellers and distributors in the IT industry.

Vignette's support of RosettaNet will also benefit existing customers of the Vignette V/5 E-business Platform™, such as IngramMicro, by providing integrated eSeries B2B products that complement their other Vignette-based e-business initiatives.
