Extricity Powers Successful Global RosettaNet Connection Between Intel and Taiwan Distributor WPI

Intel, WPI Set Benchmark In International RosettaNet Connections

For Release November 20, 2000

BELMONT

Extricity, Inc., a leading business-to-business (B2B) software platform provider, today announced that it has successfully completed international supply chain exchanges using RosettaNet e-business standards. Using RosettaNet Partner Interface Processes™ (PIPs™) 3A4 and 3A7, Extricity successfully completed interoperability between WPI, a Taiwan-based distributor, and Intel's Asia Pacific office in Hong Kong and its Folsom, Calif. office.

"Any true standard has to be global in nature," said Jennifer Hamilton, CEO of RosettaNet. "Nothing is more important than implementation. More and more companies are implementing RosettaNet standards to make efficiency gains in their supply chain operations. We're confident that implementations like these will continue to grow at a rapid pace as we expand out standards efforts globally."

Extricity and Unitopia have assisted in the successful production implementation of international RosettaNet projects. World Peace International used the Extricity for B2B RosettaNet product offered by Extricity to integrate internal applications with RosettaNet messages to and from Intel Corporation to manage the ordering and scheduling processes between Intel and WPI. WPI and Intel are exchanging RosettaNet PIP3A4 and PIP3A7 messages to reduce the cycle time for order processing between the companies.

"Extricity is pleased to have played a key role in enabling one of RosettaNet's first international exchanges of the PIP messages," said Barry Ariko, Extricity's chairman and CEO. "This is the most recent example of how Unitopia and Extricity have teamed with Taiwanese corporations to maintain leadership in B2B applications."
