RosettaNet Members Committed to Standards and Systems Interoperability; SmarTeam Customers Will Benefit from Improved Electronic Sharing of B2B e-Commerce Information

For Release April 3, 2001

BEVERLY --

Smart Solutions, a Dassault Systmes (NASDAQ:DASTY) company and its Americas subsidiary, SmarTeam Inc., a leading provider of rapidly-implemented business collaboration solutions for small-to-medium-sized manufacturing organizations, today announced it joined RosettaNet, a self-funded and non-profit consortium of major information technology, electronic component, and semiconductor manufacturing companies working to create and implement industry-wide, open e-business process standards. As a RosettaNet member, SmarTeam is committed to helping establish a common language and standard processes to ease the electronic sharing of business information between supply chain partners globally.

Today's announcement further extends SmarTeam's commitment to industry standards for integrating and exchanging product, plant and project information throughout manufacturing enterprises and their supply chains. SmarTeam also announced last month its new iXF standard for collaborative product commerce, a next-generation XML-based technology for the secure, accurate and electronic exchange of information.

Avichay Nissenbaum, Smart Solutions' vice president of product marketing, says, "Joining RosettaNet affirms our commitment to standards and interoperability. Our goal is to make it easier for our customers to integrate their B2B systems in a heterogeneous environment by making our own systems standards-based and open. We are proud to join the ranks of other RosettaNet Partners who are committed to raising the standards bar for the future of product data exchange and propagating RosettaNet standards throughout industry worldwide."

RosettaNet Partners include technology companies that provide tools and services to enable supply chain companies to implement RosettaNet standards. Partners include systems integrators, software developers, consultants and technology and service providers.
