Infoteria Corporation Announces Early Adoption of RosettaNet Ready™ Program

New program to reduce time and costs of RosettaNet trading partner network deployments; fosters "insta-operability" between RosettaNet Partners

For Release September 18, 2001

Boston, MA --

Infoteria Corporation, a leading solution provider of RosettaNet supply chain solutions, today announced their early adoption of the RosettaNet Ready™ Program. This new program provides low-cost products and services that companies can use to validate their product compliance with RosettaNet e-business standards.

Components of the RosettaNet Ready™ Program include the Developer Tools Library and Software Compliance Badges. The Developer Tools Library includes a Self-Test Kit (STK) and Test Script Generator and validates a RosettaNet solution's compliance to the RosettaNet Implementation Framework (RNIF) 2.0 along with a core set of Partner Interface Processes™ (PIPs®). Software Compliance Badges signify the successful completion of compliance testing for specific RNIF and PIP versions. Together, these components provide validation for the supply chain solution buyer who is looking for a truly RosettaNet compliant solution.

"It has taken more than two years for many of the world's leading corporations - Intel, Cisco, Sony, NEC, IBM and Microsoft, among others - to hammer out a clear and common set of XML-based supply chain processes and standards," said Tim Browne, President and CEO, Infoteria Corporation. "I believe that this qualifies as the most significant business collaboration ever achieved by a set of natural competitors. Through RosettaNet, they have spoken with a singular voice. Their message: we need to automate our supply chains from top to bottom now. EDI and other smart but expensive solutions simply will not reach enough of our partners."

"Infoteria is listening," continued Browne. "Along with providing affordable, turnkey solutions for RosettaNet, we endorse all RosettaNet efforts to enable supply chain Partner companies to make the most cost effective decisions when selecting a solution provider. The new RosettaNet Ready Program provides a much needed structure and PIP and RNIF readiness and compliance testing process to those of us who are developing the software necessary to implement RosettaNet Standards."

"Solution Provider Partners within the RosettaNet community, including Infoteria Corporation, have helped to address some of the primary challenges of B2B integration," said Jennifer Hamilton, CEO of RosettaNet. "With their insights and contributions, we can move forward with the development and deployment of key programs such as RosettaNet Ready that help to address the ways in which we achieve pervasiveness of e-business processes within the high technology industry."

About the RosettaNet Ready Program
The RosettaNet Ready Program provides products and services that companies within the high technology supply chain need to measure their own readiness and compliance with RosettaNet standards. The program speeds development and adoption of RosettaNet-enabled products by delivering readiness and development tools, compliance testing and product benchmarking -- driving integration costs down and adoption rates up. The program fuels continued growth of an immense RosettaNet trading network that encompasses both small and large and small enterprises.
