Amkor Technology CIO to Chair RosettaNet Semiconductor Manufacturing Board

Amkor Technology Inc. (Nasdaq: AMKR) announced today that Bill White, senior vice president
and chief information officer, has been named chairman of the RosettaNet Semiconductor
Manufacturing (SM) Board. RosettaNet is the leader in global e-business process standards, driving
collaborative development and rapid deployment of Internet-based business standards.

channel up and down the supply chain, seamlessly integrating manufacturing partners," said White.

In 2001, under White’s leadership, Amkor realized its goal in the areas of Purchase Order and
Work-in-Process (WIP) Partner Interface Process™ (PIP®) with the implementation of four PIPs with
two trading partners.
Amkor’s commitment continues in 2002 with its dedication to both Work
Order and Collaborative Forecasting PIP development and Shipping PIP deployment.

White brings to the RosettaNet board more than
thirty-five years of information technology industry experience in automotive, aerospace, health

The RosettaNet board is concentrating its efforts on automating key
business processes in the semiconductor manufacturing trading network. Specific areas of focus
include manufacturing work-in-process (WIP), purchase order and work order management and materials
management.
