Infoteria And NEC Systems Connect Intel Supply Chain Using Infoteria’s Planet For RosettaNet

Chemical Supplier Implements “Plug and Trade” Solution With Semiconductor Manufacturer Via RosettaNet Basics Program

For Release February 26, 2002

Boston, MA --

Infoteria Corporation and NEC Systems announced today the successful implementation of Infoteria’s Planet for RosettaNet
ä at Ohka America, Inc., a leading producer of chemical and manufacturing products for the semiconductor packaging industry.   Using Infoteria’s Planet for RosettaNet, Ohka has automated their invoicing process with Intel Corporation.

Ohka chose Infoteria’s Planet for RosettaNet to automate their invoicing with Intel because of its compliance with the RosettaNet Basics program for mid-sized suppliers, its short deployment time and cost-effectiveness.   By using Infoteria’s Planet in a secure RosettaNet-based trading network, Ohka is accelerating the invoicing process with Intel Corporation, a key customer.   Prior to this deployment of Infoteria’s Planet for RosettaNet, Ohka’s invoicing process had been manual, using mail and faxes to submit invoices.   With the solution implemented by NEC Systems EBS, Ohka can now automate the submission of invoices, alert both internal systems when invoices are accepted or rejected, and update the status in Ohka’s accounting system.    The new process of invoice exchange has already proved both cost-effective and time-saving.

"RosettaNet Basics aims at enabling a larger portion of our supply chain to participate in the benefits of business-to-business integration with only a modest initial investment. The turnkey approach also significantly reduces deployment time," said Charles Goodwin, Intel's Director of Intel’s Private e-Market Office.   "The lower cost of deployment in licensing, hardware and integration that RosettaNet Basics solutions like Infoteria’s Planet offers companies will enable shorter time to market, faster return on investment, much higher customer service, and more valuable trading relationships.”

Kurt Keiser, General Manager, NEC Systems EBS, added that “Infoteria provided a high level of training and support as we implemented the RosettaNet-compliant automated invoice exchange system for Ohka.   After seeing this product in production, we’re excited about presenting it to our other mid-sized clients to help meet their RosettaNet implementation needs.”& lt; /span>

“This implementation is a breakthrough for mid-sized suppliers because it demonstrates the transforming power of RosettaNet standards in industries such as semiconductors, electronic components and IT.   We view this implementation as validation of the importance of a ‘ plug-and-trade’ solution for mid-sized suppliers who need immediate automation of their key customer relationships,” said Tim Browne, CEO of Infoteria.
