RosettaNet Press Release
2.2.2000 - EConcert Day

For Release June 10, 1999

-- The EConcert Day is very focused 'production date' agreed to by members of EConcert. By committing to EConcert Day, a member is agreeing to complete the following on or before 2.2.2000:

  1. Align internal business processes with one or more published PIPs
  2. Prepare internal systems to exchange one or more PIPs with another supply chain partner
  3. Adopt the GTIN part numbering schema, the DUNS number, the UNSPSC product classification code, and the RosettaNet Technical Specifications Dictionary (at least for PIP exchange purposes - not necessarily for internal usage)
  4. Participate in an industry-wide campaign (from June 99 to Feb 2000) to assist/encourage one's key supply chain partners to also get ready for EConcert Day
