RosettaNet Press Release Succeeds Jennifer Hamilton at helm of international standards organization serving high technology industries For Release August 15, 2004
Santa Ana, CA, USA LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. August 16, 2004 - The Uniform Code Council, Inc. ® (UCC ®) announced today that Herman Stiphout has been appointed president of RosettaNet, effective immediately. RosettaNet, a subsidiary of the UCC, is a not-for-profit consortium that develops and deploys open, Internet-based business process standards for companies in information technology, electronic components, logistics, semiconductor manufacturing and telecommunications industry sectors. The UCC is a not-for-profit organization that develops open industry-driven standards and solutions for global trading partners and administers the EAN.UCC System in partnership with EAN International.
Mr. Stiphout will be located at UCC corporate headquarters in Lawrenceville, New Jersey and will report to Michael Di Yeso, president and chief operating officer of the Uniform Code Council and member of RosettaNet’s Executive Committee. In making the announcement, Mr. Di Yeso stated, “We are fortunate to have an executive of Herman’s calibre and experience to guide RosettaNet through the next critical phases of its growth and development. Over his career, he has built powerful teams, exhibited highly effective strategic thinking, and has demonstrated the kind of customer-focused leadership that is so highly valued by our members.”

Jennifer Hamilton, who led RosettaNet since 2000, is leaving to pursue other personal and business activities. Commenting on Ms. Hamilton’s stewardship of RosettaNet, Mr. Di Yeso said, “On behalf of the UCC Board of Governors and RosettaNet’s Executive Committee, I would like to express my sincere appreciation to Jennifer for building RosettaNet into a respected and widely accepted standards body. Under her leadership, RosettaNet standards are being implemented by many leading multinational and small to medium size companies worldwide. We wish her much success.”
Mr. Stiphout is a graduate of the Institute of Administration and Commerce, South Africa with a degree in General Business Management. He is conversant in French, Dutch, German and English. ##
