EIM Foundational |
Develop technical specifications that enable efficient implementation of EIM
business processes based on the combination of RosettaNet Automated Enablement (RAE) and RosettaNet
Dictionary (RNTD, RDA) technologies.
| |
Next Generation Architecture |
This program focused on enhancing
RosettaNet's architecture, including its PIP specification architecture, to support modular PIP
design as well as transactional, informational, and collaborative business processes. NOTE: In
2002, work was transitioned into these foundational programs: Dictionary Architecture, Domain Model
and PIP Specification Format.

PIP Maintenance Program 2006 |
PIP® Specification Format |
Deliver methodologies for specifying PIPs in
XML-Schema and BPSS and for producing accompanying implementation aids to PIP Factory; deliver
educational material to RosettaNet community. Formerly a component of Next Generation
Architecture.
| |
RNBD Development |
The RosettaNet Business Dictionary (RNBD)
Program enhances the RNBD for interaction with PIP® specification development and publication
processes.
| |
RNTD Development |
The RosettaNet Methodology program focuses on RosettaNet process and
methodology improvements, and is driven by the RosettaNet operations team. The PIP Factory is
included.
| |
Domain Model |
Provide the nucleus of the RosettaNet domain
model (of re- usable XML & UML objects), along with the documented processes by which PIP
developers can make use of and extend the domain model. Formerly a component of Next Generation
Architecture.
| |
Global Company Identification |
The Global Company Identifier Program addresses issues surrounding the use of Data Universal
Numbering System (D-U-N-S®) for Global Company Identifier in RosettaNet PIPs®.
| |
Interoperability |
The RosettaNet Interoperability Program improves software and implementation interoperability
within the RosettaNet trading network through collateral, education and testing activities.

RosettaNet Ready™ |
Products that are designated as “RosettaNet Ready™” are compatible with RosettaNet e-business
process standards and have earned a mark of distinction referred to as a “badge.” Software
compliance badges provide instant recognition in the marketplace for RosettaNet standards compliant
software solutions are marks of quality that help companies to differentiate their products and
services. Software compliance badges ensure both product recognition and a level of public
confidence sought by supply chain companies looking to engage with a solution provider offering
RosettaNet standards compliant products and services.
RosettaNet Ready is the legacy program for RosettaNet software compliance testing. Software
products tested compliant under this program are designated by the RosettaNet Ready Badge.
Beginning in October 2004, compliance testing and certification is offered through eBusinessReady,
an industry-neutral software testing program. RosettaNet Ready and eBusinessReady compliance
certifications are both endorsed and recognized by RosettaNet.
RosettaNet provides the tools and services required to measure software compliance with RNIF
and PIPs® specifications, and enable low-cost implementation testing solutions. These tools and
services provide a common benchmark platform to measure a software product's adherence to
RosettaNet Implementation Framework (RNIF) and Partner Interface Process® (PIP®) specifications.
The RosettaNet Software Compliance Testing verifies products for compliance -- providing an
objective measurement to differentiate products ready for RosettaNet trading partner
implementations.

Trading Partner Agreements |
The Trading Partner (TPA) Agreement Program created a TPA for RosettaNet transactions and for
general electronic information exchange.
