The RosettaNet Business Dictionary (RNBD) is a software application and content intended to aid implementers of RosettaNet Partner Interface Processes (tm) (PIPs®). The RNBD will provide a central location where implementers can gain additional information about the terms used in RosettaNet PIPs, including:

• Definition(s) and structure of the term
• A cross-reference indicating which PIPs use the term
• Code lists
• links to non-RosettaNet code lists and;
• List of synonyms (where applicable).

 Phase one deliverables of the RNBD Program focus on identifying the requirements of the user community, identifying synergies with the RosettaNet Technical Dictionary (RNTD), detailing the specifications of the infrastructure that will support those requirements, and developing detailed use cases.

 The RNBD program is comprised of two distinct entities:

• The RNBD Development Team , which is chartered with analyzing the current state of the RNBD and developing a new application that will support the requirements of the user community. This team is comprised of RosettaNet employees and on-loan resources from member companies.
• The RNBD JRUG Task Force is chartered with gathering the requirements from the user community, developing a baseline, and facilitating communication between the development team and RosettaNet Partners. This group is comprised of implementers from various RosettaNet user groups.
