Industry meets quality requirements by
transferring certificates of analysis at the time of product transfer. There is an increasing
customer demand to provide certificate of analysis information electronically. Due to lack of an
accepted industry standard, individual companies are specifying their own solution to meet their
need, resulting in multiple data elements, transfer methodologies and business processes. The
current approach is unmanageable, costly and making the industry as a whole less efficient when
applied to multiple suppliers and customers.

Eliminate manual processing and scanning of
certificates of analysis for both partners removing the opportunity for inaccurate data entry.
Eliminate the unmanageable variety of electronic certificate of analysis approaches currently
existing in the industry, normalizing the data format, units of measure, packaging, parameter name,
etc. Provide the data electronically for product receipt and verification of compliance versus
specifications. Allow multiple connections using a single data standard reducing the overall
cost.
