With a shared commitment to collaborative forecasting in the
EC and IT trading network, companies can significantly reduce inventory, increase product turns,
and improve on-time delivery and customer satisfaction. This is the basis of the RosettaNet's
Collaborative Forecasting Program -- deploying RosettaNet Partner Interface Processes
™
(PIPS™)
that allow partners to share information affecting materials
management decisions.
Program Partners
Led by STMicroelectronics and Texas Instruments, more than 15
RosettaNet IT and EC Board Member companies are participating in the Collaborative Forecasting
Program. These companies include Arrow Electronics, Compaq Computer, Hitachi, IBM, Lucent
Technologies, Micron, Motorola, National Semiconductor, NEC, Nokia,
Philips Semiconductors, Samsung and Solectron.
2001 Program Achievements
Six RosettaNet Partners implemented PIPs as part of this
program and achieved eight total connections. |
