Search
You can search content and partner profiles from any page, by using the search box at
the top pf every page. Just type in the information you are looking for and click on Site Content
to search the entire site or on Partner Profiles if you are searching for information on a partner.
Hitting the enter key instead of clicking on an option will by default initiate a Site Content
search.
When you get to your results, you can refine them by clicking on the tabs on the search results
page. For Content Searches there is a content tab and for Partner Searches, there is a partner tab.
Both types of searches have a Relationships tab which will allow you to refine your searches based
on how the content or partner is related to a particular PIP, Program, RNIF, Dictionary or
Company.
Your initial Content Search scans the titles and descriptions of site documents and pages. You
can expand this search criteria via the Content tab. Partner Search initially searches both the
company name and company profile. For both content and partner searches, your current search
criteria are listed on the right hand side in the blue column.
Search Tips
By entering more than one
term in Content Search, you can search for resources that contain multiple terms, phrases and
proximate terms.
The RosettaNet site supports the
following search syntax.
Search Multiple Terms
To search for resources that contain a number of search terms, separate the terms with
spaces, commas or "and."
term1 term2 term3
term1, term2, term3
term1 and term2 and term3 To search for resources that contain at least one of a
number of search terms, separate the terms with "or."
term1 or term2 or term3 Combinations of "and" and "or" adhere to processing
rules in which "and" takes precedence over "or." For example, the following searches for resources
that contain "schedule and pip" or "pdf."
schedule and pip or pdf You can override the precedence of "and" by using
parenthetical groupings. For example, the following searches for resources that contain "schedule
and pip" or "schedule and pdf."
schedule and (pip or pdf)
Search Phrases
To search for resources that contain a specific phrase, enclose the phrase in quotes.
"xml standards"
Search Proximate Terms
To search for resources that contain multiple terms appearing in close proximity, separate
the terms with "near."
ten near becomes
My RosettaNet & Subscriptions
Logged-in users can
personalize the site with My RosettaNet -- an individual page that provides quick access to
preferred site content.
To choose content for My
RosettaNet, click the SUBSCRIBE button in the upper right-hand corner of the content page you
wish to include. A link to the page will be added to My RosettaNet. To remove previously subscribed
content from My RosettaNet, go to the subscribed page and click the UNSUBSCRIBE button.
When you subscribe to a page, you will receive e-mail notification when a new document,
discussion thread message, press release, hot news item or web page link is posted to the
subscribed page. If you decide you no longer want previously requested notifications, click the
UNSUBSCRIBE button on the associated page. You can also edit your subscriptions from your My
RosettaNet page.
A second way to subscribe is with the SUBSCRIBE TO SECTION button, which is available on
sections three levels deep or more in the site hierarchy. Clicking on this button will
subscribe you to all of the currently available pages within that section of the site. New pages
will not automatically be added to your subscription. Once subscribed, the button changes to
UNSUBSCRIBE SECTION, allowing you to unsubscribe to all pages within the section.
